Openings of Unique Art Show at Cooperative Gallery & Roberson Museum’s Archaeology Exhibit and Re-Opening of Lost Dog Cafe Highlight Next First Friday Art Walk - MARCH 5.

The international movement of Artist Trading Cards is coming to Binghamton, NY, via Cooperative Gallery 213 (213 State St. on Artists Row) with a unique exhibit of tiny works of art (2”x3” size), made only to be traded, not sold. This show, “Artists Trading Cards,” and new exhibit at Roberson Museum (30 Front St.), “Our Invisible Past: The Archaeology of Everyday Life,” will both open on First Friday, March 5.
Other First Friday Art Walk highlights include:
- Re-opening of Lost Dog Cafe (222 Water St.), after being closed for recovery from January 14 sprinkler main break fl ooding the res tau rant, featuring traditional Irish music by The Grady Girls and exhibit of fine
art masks by E. L. Downey.
- Ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new office location for Broome County Arts Council to 81 State St. in Stephens Square building (formerly located at 31 Front St.).
Besides Lost Dog Cafe, Southern Tier Health Link (45 Lewis St.) will feature an Irish theme with Irish Step Dancing by Carle School of Dance and photography exhibit by Second Life with virtual Irish landscapes.

- Cooperative Gallery 213 (213 State St.): MaryRose Griffin & Others: “Artist Trading Cards” - Mixed Media - Hundreds of tiny works of art, each 2” X 3” size, made only to be traded, never sold. - ATC Exhibit

- Roberson Museum & Science Center (30 Front): “Our Invisible Past: The Ar chaeology of Everyday Life” - Based on the findings of Binghamton University’s Public Archaeology Facility, this exhibition explores the
artifacts found in a recent archaeological dig site in down town Binghamton. - Tools & pottery fragments dating from 2,000 years ago & unearthed 19th century house hold items tell stories about the lives of the Native Peoples & the fam lies whose homes graced this site, and increase our understanding of the region's cultural history (Opening Mar. 5 thru Nov. 2010).
- Lost Dog Cafe (222 Water St., corner of Henry): The Grady Girls Irish Music & Mask Maker E. L. Downey! - The Grady Girls, (quartet of two sisters & two cousins on fiddles, fl ute & bodhran), gracefully
