Gorgeous Washington Street

We are Gorgeous Washington Street Association ( GWSA) located in Binghamton , NY . We are an eclectic group of entrepreneurs who are passionate about downtown Binghamton and are excited about the area reaching it's full potential. We count on our members local businesses, corporations, art galleries and others, currently 81 and growing.We aim to beautify and revitalize our community through beautification projects as well as events which highlight our beautiful city. These projects are possible through the help from members of GWSA,fundraisers, sponsors, grants and city hall ( thank you!). Our flagship event is the FIRST FRIDAY art walk... sponsored by M&T Bank.

We like to think of it as a Taste of SoHo in Binghamton ! ... a “Gorgeous,” arty event highlighting the area’s growing arts community. Since its debut in 2004, First Friday ... Is The Place To Be on the first Friday of each month from 6-9 pm is open for your enjoyment.... for gallery hopping, art openings, music and theater shows to fine dining and entertainment.In addition, some of the areas most outstanding boutiques and gift shops invite you to partake in their special offerings every 1st Friday. First Friday locations vary each month so come often! Brochures will be available at participating member businesses with a description of entertainment and street map. Don't feel like walking? Take the free trolly for transport.... from galleries, artists studios, museums,theatre, specialty shops, restaurants and cafes! First Friday ... simply “Gorgeous!”
